MEND.lab provides access to extensive prototyping infrastructure to support biomedical research and medical device development. We design and manufacture custom research instrumentation and test setups, collaborate on their development, and offer training and supervised access to our facilities. This allows researchers to build, adapt, and use the tools needed to explore research questions, develop experiments, and test concepts within their own projects.

Custom instrumentation and test setups, such as fixtures, clamps, and sensor mounts, are developed in close collaboration with ongoing research activities. Designed to integrate with existing setups and laboratory environments, these systems evolve alongside the research process through rapid iteration and adaptation. Projects may support broader research trajectories or stand-alone requests, with a focus on reducing technical barriers so researchers can concentrate on the experimental design itself.
