Medical device design & development

MEND.lab supports development across a broad range of medical devices across different contexts and categories, including surgical implants and instrumentation, imaging and diagnostic devices, assistive devices, and add-ons to existing technologies.

Projects start from a clinical need, an early proof of concept, or an existing technology ready to be shaped into a medical device. Working closely with clinicians, researchers, and engineers, the lab focuses on structured development, technical rigor, and user-centered design, with validated prototypes as a typical outcome.
